Burning Passion for fashion, blasphemy too fast to trust All the stories, the worry, the glory so Fast pass the mass blast, tragedy your massive Lust for perfection, subjection, infection it’s burning, burning, burning, burning beauty, beauty, beauty, beauty She sees it, it hurts her, as reason deserts her Yearning desire, conspire to die for Unreal ideal, don’t feel, the trial The drain on your body and soul and the fire burning, burning, burning, burning beauty, beauty, beauty, beauty

Said Too Much Chasing the faces that I want to be Betting my debt on synchronicity Swimming shallow, I get too deep Mountain I climb is much too steep I do not want what’s bad for you Distance your wish, it might come true Got what I want, now what do I do? I said too much You know it’s true Sculpted by others, looking for a sign Already lost, nothing to find My tragic task waxing faster This plastic mask, my lasting disaster This history, it never dies No mystery, profile survives Insipid touch, the games I played I said too much On every page

about

NYC searing synth duo UMUVOVA’s debut EP Matter and Masks is inspired by the religious ceremonial preparation of a Virgo Supercluster sub-culture in the common-era year 2793. UMUVOVA’s mercurial four-song EP has melodic hooks throughout, but strays from familiar forms as it progresses, blending synthwave with Radiophonic accents on Burning; Amazon field recordings, trap, and thermogenic synths into the futuristic depravity of Oviri; chamber and footwork elements on the cinematic weFew; and delivering icily dystopian pop introspection on Said Too Much.
